In the second lesson I explained to you how the first four bodies come into maturity preparing themselves for the role they have to play:-

1. Physical body            Up to 9 months physically,
but a 7 year process Spiritually.

2. Etheric body                    Birth to 7 years.

3. Emotional body               Age 7 to 14 years.

4. Mental body                    Age 14 to 21 years.

This is an automatic process for everyone – whether they are ever aware of it or not.

Within the bodies are energy centres, known as the chakras, which we have discussed before. There are 12 positive centres and 10 negative ones involved in the process of realising your Divinity here on Earth.

These centres are directly linked to and energised by 12 planets and moons within our solar system. Our star sign determines the pattern of the energy grids that surround us in our energy bubbles. The chakras are transformers which enable the Universal energy to energise our body – without blowing us up! It is that powerful, and we have to attune ourselves to it gradually. That is why this is a slow, steady process – and there are no shortcuts.

Our FEELINGS are what activate or de-activate the chakras. They can only open or close in sequence, not haphazardly.

Let us now look at the sites within the bodies for these energy centres.

The physical body contains all the negative chakras, plus the 7th positive chakra.

The etheric body holds chakras 1 – 6, plus the 8th chakra.

The emotional body has the 9th.

The mental body has the 10th.

The causal body has the 11th.

The I Am body has the 12th.

In order to perfect the human body the four lower bodies must be brought into alignment. Each body has a perforated pattern, similar to a sieve, or colander; and then as the 7 chakras are fully activated the body fills up with Light and energy. We are able to transmit this energy out to others only in a very weak form initially because the grid patterns of the bodies do not line up with each other, and they effectively break up the Light. This Light we transmit out to others in the form of energy and healing.

In order to align the bodies so that the energies can stream out freely we have to learn to balance the negative and positive energies within ourselves in order to create the POWER to activate the Christ energy which is within us all, just waiting to be released.

Hence the importance of forgiving and letting go, ridding ourselves of emotional blocks, and old memories of hurts. In other words ridding ourselves of all the old emotional baggage that we have been carrying around for years.

The first six chakras can open without you even being aware of them, just by right thinking and right living, but from then on the others are developed and energised in full awareness. So too with the bodies; once the four lower ones are in balance you will be up to the level of the 10th chakra opening.

When the four lower bodies are all fully aligned, and the 10th chakra is opened, then the 5th body comes in AUTOMATICALLY. This body is quite unique in that it does not contain any chakras, it is pure Christ Energy, and the physical body will then be of the vibration that it can withstand this second burst of Christ Energy – the first being when the 9th chakra opened. Whereas the chakras act as step-down transformers to allow our bodies to take on the energy safely, the Christ Body acts as a plug-in point to enable us to attain a higher state of existence. It has an energy point within it situated in the area of the thymus in the average person, but as we develop ourselves Spiritually that point moves up to become a crown for the Christ Body, just as the 7 – 12 chakras are crowns for the other bodies.

To enable all this to happen your emotions, mental thinking and awareness, will all have been severely tested. It is not an easy process, but one which is well worth the effort, for in the long run you are bringing perfect health, peace, and immortality to yourself.

You will experience actual physical sensations as the body closes down the negative chakras, involving quite strong pains in the groins, knees, and feet. Then those who have experienced illness in their life will go through a type of ‘mini re-run’ of the symptoms of these illnesses for short periods. It all sounds quite traumatic, but when you KNOW what’s going on, the fear is removed of actual physical illness, and you realise that a wondrous transformation is taking place.

The lymphatic system may work overtime if you have a lot of toxins to clear, because the lymphatics are the ‘garbage disposals’ of the body.

Don’t be surprised if you go the doctor only to be told there is nothing to be found! By that stage of your development you will be receiving clear messages about what is going on, and there will be no need to waste your time or money. The best way to cope with it is at the end of each day give up the words, “Thank You God for the wonderful changes that are taking place in my body” – even if you feel BLOODY TERRIBLE! The hardest part of all of this is convincing the unaware in your family that you really don’t need medical attention. Or a psychiatrist!

Your best ‘clue’ that these Spiritual changes are the cause of the body aches and pains, is that although you might feel as if you are falling to pieces on the INSIDE, outwardly you will be GLOWING, and many people will comment on that fact. I did a talk for a group one night in Scotland while experiencing tremendous pain, yet the photographs taken show me looking incredibly well!

Weight gain is another factor. The reason this happens is that we are being filled with ‘the water of life’ – the Holy Spirit, and although it is an invisible substance it does show itself physically. If you are on the spiritual path and you start to gain weight which will not respond to diet understand what is happening and DO NOT DESPAIR – it is not permanent weight gain, and when the transformation is complete you will revert to your ideal body weight. Your body is taking on huge energies and the extra bulk is needed for a while as ‘insulation’.

The 6th body is the Causal Body, the energies within that enable the physical body to withstand the pure God Energy which fills the physical body when the 7th body, the I AM Body comes in.

The opening of the 11th chakra comes about when you undertake SERVICE to your fellow man. The TRUE service of freely giving of your time and energy and knowledge for the betterment of others, with no thought of reward to the self – for by now you know that you are assisted in this by God, and that He provides ALL to enable you to do this. The work is joyful, your energy unlimited, all fear removed.

By the time the 12th chakra opens and the 7th body merges, the body will be filling with Gold Light. All healing that you send out will be pure and strong, and you will be amazed at the results initially, but then you realise OF COURSE this must happen because you are now an open conductor  for this energy from God to man.

Jesus the man was filled and overshadowed by the Christ Energy, he had the knowledge that he and the Father were One, and he used this with confidence so that ‘miracles’ could be worked. He came here to show us that ALL of humanity is capable of the same things that he did, AND MORE, if only we will BELIEVE.

There is one more step, the last step, to the true perfection. The process that I have described of the aligning of the seven bodies produces what Mark Prophet called The Pyramid of Life, and no pyramid can be activated until the capstone is put into place to seal the energies within. The ‘capping’ is a very individual event which can only be individually experienced – no two being the same, but when it happens there will be NO DOUBT in our minds as to our capabilities and the work we must do.

The story of Jesus’ life in the Bible describes the seven stages that take place in the process of perfecting the body and overcoming death. Murdo MacDonald Bayne named them in his books – but left it to the reader to figure them out! It was only through the experiences that we have had that the answers came:

1. The Christ experiences the birth of Life in the Temple that is not made with hands (the body) – this is the moment of conception.

2. The Father is individualised in each and every one, thus manifesting the birth of Christ the Eternal Son of God into earthly life – our birth with the little pilot light of Christ Light within us.

3. The anointing is the consecration of the life to God – symbolised in the Church by the baptism, but it is actually our conscious dedication of our life to God.

4. Then cometh the awakening of the Christ in the Temple that is made by God alone – the opening of the 9th chakra releasing the first wave of Christ Energy into our body.

5. Then comes the temptation. Temptation was in the world for Christ to overcome – “I have overcome the world” – our ability to rise above all negativity.

6. The Crucifixion means that everyone is crucified. All must pass through their own gates of Gethsemane, some pass through it one way, some another. Thus you are purified through your experience – this describes each person’s personal lowest time when they thought all was lost, the time when we come to the realisation that only God can help us. But then, in recovering from this, we turn the experience into a positive one by using it to help others.

7. Then comes the resurrection, the resurrection of the soul out of this mortal body. THE CHRIST IS THE SPIRIT OF GOD MANIFESTING IN THE FLESH. THE ASCENSION IS THE TRUE RECOGNITION OF THIS REALITY. THE TRUE REALISATION OF THE ETERNAL CHRIST. “THE CHRIST IS IN YOU AND NOTHING CAN AVAIL FROM WITHOUT.” – this is represented by the second burst of Christ Energy which occurs when the Energy point in the 5th body is activated by the alignment of the four lower bodies.

We are frequently asked in class “Why do we have to go through so much pain in this life? Why can’t we just come here and ENJOY it?” Then I have to explain that we came from Love and we have come here to USE that love energy to overcome and transmute negativity, thus creating yet more love. WE ARE NEVER GIVEN MORE THAN WE CAN BEAR. WE ARE NEVER ALONE. We just have to come into the remembrance of that - but that won’t happen until you have EXPERIENCED life for a while.

Let me give you some examples.

Friends of ours use a special light camera for healing purposes, they loaned us the book written by the inventor of the camera about case histories. The book is called ‘Light: Medicine of the Future’ and there is a piece called Kay’s Story. It begins: In 1989, Kay, a 41 year old therapist with a background in emergency medicine, came into my office for phototherapy, intent on halting the progressive deterioration of her eyesight. She was wearing bifocals, and with her glasses could focus clearly only a couple of inches from her nose.

Although Kay came in for vision improvement, it became obvious from her personal and medical history that she had been born into a severely dysfunctional family. Most of her life had been spent in emotional and physical breakdown.

After describing her case history and the way she was healed of many medical conditions he shares a letter that he got from her following her treatment:

I came to work on my eyes. I left treatment having recovered myself and my eyesight. I’ve been able to process my old pain to the point where it almost feels like a story that happened to someone else. I no longer feel attached to the drama. I am no longer the helpless little kid. I survived it all! Now I’m learning to live my life one day at a time.

I have nearly completed my healing with my mother, and, last week, for the first time in my life, Dad was able to say, “I love you,” with love in his eyes. I am so grateful I had the opportunities to hurt, to struggle, to grow strong in my ability to deal with tough situations and come out whole on the other side. Since I did it, anyone can. I have a depth of understanding and compassion now that no college course could ever teach me.

Now I won’t have to say to my clients, “I don’t know how you feel, because I’ve never been there.” I have been there! I am now in the best possible position to support others in their healing. I am healing an impossible life. Now I know that everything is possible.

The following piece was handed in, anonymous again, and addressed to women. I adapted it for both genders for the same applies, whatever your sex.

After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul.
And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts
And presents aren’t promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open,
With the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child.
And learn to build all your roads
On today because tomorrow’s ground
Is too uncertain for plans, and futures have
A way of falling down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn that even sunshine
Burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate
Your own soul, instead of waiting
For someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure.
That you really are strong
And you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn.
With every goodbye you learn.

In her book ‘Older than Time’ Allegra Taylor, who has a husband and six children states….it suddenly seemed very clear that we are alone all our lives but can’t bear to accept that truth. We imagine that somehow another person will COMPLETE US and we search for a mirror to see our own lovableness reflected back. It’s a hopelessly addictive drug and by its very nature eventually unfulfilling. No sooner do you find it than you want more. You want guarantees, forever, eternity………and another human being can’t provide that. There is much talk about soul mates – the perfect person for us. In actual fact what we are all looking for is not the perfect human that is our other half, but our TRUE perfect other half – our Spiritual Self. THAT’S the one we need to link up with.

NO OTHER HUMAN CAN TRULY FULFIL YOUR NEEDS but in journeying together -  WITH THE SAME GOALS IN MIND it makes the journey more joyful. Someone told us about the embroidered sampler that an aunt gave her for a wedding present, it has hung over their bed for over thirty years:

Love doesn’t consist of looking at each other, but of looking together in the same direction.

Partnership isn’t about changing another to suit YOUR needs, it is ALWAYS about working on YOURSELF, and trying to recognise what the other is showing us about ourself and our own development.

Times of adversity are designed to strengthen the individual, to inspire us to work in unity to help one another. In this way negative events are transmuted into POSITIVE happenings. Love will ALWAYS win:

The Australian Woman’s Weekly told the story of the Miracle of Thredbo. Here are excerpts from Michael Sheather’s excellent article…… At 11.37pm on Wednesday, July 30, 1997 a landslide swept away the Carinya and Bimbadeen lodges above Thredbo Alpine Village in the Snowy Mountains of NSW. While an unsuspecting nation slept, ski instructor Stuart Diver, his wife Sally, and 17 others were consumed in a catastrophe of massive proportions, entombed under a vast mound of earth, wreckage and shattered concrete.

Stunned holiday-makers and Thredbo locals rushed from nearby chalets to witness a scene of utter devastation, a landscape of horror in which the chances of survival seemed, at best, remote.

Yet, even as those first startled witnesses stared in shock, a savage battle for life was raging deep below the twisted ruins that had – only moments before – been bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, the places where people feel most safe and comfortable.

Stuart Diver was the only survivor of that catastrophe which came so swiftly, changing his life for ever…….Lying in the dark, Stuart reached out desperately for Sally. He tried to find her hand, clawing through the rubble and clinging mud that had now started to fill the opening around him.

“I desperately needed to feel a human touch,” he said. “I found her. I can’t say whether it was her hand. I think it might have been her arm but, even in the darkness, I knew it was Sally and that I was touching her. I felt the anger surge in me again and then I felt an immense rush of power. She was there.

“I had a feeling that it was okay, that she had died quickly and that I should come to terms with that. I can’t explain it except to say that there was suddenly a new determination to live, that there was nothing more I could do for her, but I had a responsibility to my family – to the people who love me – to live if it was at all possible.”

At one stage, about 48 hours into the rescue attempt Stuart began to experience strange semi-wakening dreams and hallucinations which took him far away from the horror of his cramped reality.

But, always, he would wake and realise that he was still trapped. “I would come around and be furious that I was still there,” he says. “In my more lucid moments, I could hear the work going on above me and I knew they were searching for people. They had to be. I could hear the machinery, the choppers, even conversations and, no matter how much I shouted or what noise I made, I couldn’t make them hear me.”

In frustration, says Stuart, he momentarily contemplated suicide. “It was a ridiculous thought,” he admits. “There was no means for me to do anything. But, for a few moments, I almost wished there was.”

But thoughts of his family, who, Stuart knew, must be somewhere close by, forced these tragic ideas from his mind. “That buoyed me up,” he says. “The thought that they must be there was precious, I couldn’t let them down, not when I had come so far. I just thought how disappointed they’d all be if they found me only to realise I had killed myself.”

Stuart was finally rescued after being buried alive for 65 hours. His experience inspired poet Jason “Rupert” McCall to write this tribute to his courage:

Have you ever underestimated one man’s will to live,
Have you even been inspired as to what one heart can give,
In the darkness of an hour when the world has fallen down,
In the loneliness of silence, when pain is all around?
Have you ever felt the spirit that can rise to find a way,
That can fight its way through anything to see another day,
Where hope is held unsparingly, despite the clouds of doubt,
Have you ever seen a miracle – a voice that reaches out?
A pulse rate in the rubble – a bare hand to unearth it,
The hope, the prayers, the bravery – everything was worth it.
A thousand hearts combining for the rescuing of one,
A million eyes were crying when at last he saw the sun.
Today I see the sky, but with more appreciation,
Today I take my challenges with more determination.
From the bitter face of tragedy we learn from a survivor,
When the slightest hope is all you have – remember Stuart Diver.

Our individual challenges will be many and varied – and probably not often as public as Stuart Diver’s, but large or small they all serve the same end; our means to grow spiritually, and to inspire and help others. We MUST use them for that – otherwise what would be the purpose of it all?

Here is an interesting analogy that came in as mailbox:/Macintosh962OHD/Systems962Ofolder/Preferences/

A man found a cocoon of an emperor moth. He took it home so that he could watch the moth come out of the cocoon. On the day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the moth for several hours as the moth struggled to force its body through that little hole.

Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther. It just seemed to be stuck. Then the man, in his kindness, decided to help the moth, so he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The moth then emerged easily.

But it had a swollen body and small, shrivelled wings. The man continued to watch the moth because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the little moth spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shrivelled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the moth to get through the tiny opening were God’s Way of forcing fluid from the body of the moth into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon. Freedom and flight would only come after the struggle. By depriving the moth of a struggle, he deprived the moth of health.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles He would cripple us.

We would not be as strong as what we could have been.

How true this is! How many times have we wanted to take the quick way out of struggles and difficulties, to take those scissors and snip off the remaining bits in an attempt to be free. We need to remember that our loving Father will never give us more than we can bear and through our trials and struggles we are strengthened as gold is refined in the fire.

And a similar piece from the tape by John Powell SJ on ‘Suffering’

‘May your cocoon be just tough enough to give you strong wings.’

The butterfly struggles to break out and get into the world and to expose its beauty.

There are about 2 or 3 days of stretching – stretching to break that cocoon. If you were to take a razor blade and very carefully slit the cocoon and release the butterfly, it couldn’t fly.

It wouldn’t fly, because those 3 days of stretching and straining to break open the cocoon strengthens its wings so that later it can fly.

There is something in our lives that is very similar – if we try to deprive someone – especially the young as they are growing up, we try to deprive them of the value of suffering – if we try to console them and distract them from pain instead of letting them stretch – letting them win their own painful victories – if we try that they will never fly. They will never expose their beauty to the world.

He (John Powell) has found that many people were not sorry they had gone through their particular trauma, grief or pain.

They felt there was meaning in it and realised the value of suffering.

That they somehow, knew it was the growing edge of life.

And so we have more understanding now of that beautiful prayer

God didn’t promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow,
or sun without rain.
But God did promise
strength for the day,
comfort for the tears,
and a light for the way.
And for all who believe
in his Kingdom above,
He answers their faith
with everlasting love.

Lastly, this beautiful piece that says it all:

MY LAW – Tieme Ranapiri

The sun may be clouded, yet ever the sun
Will sweep on its course till the Cycle is run.
And when into chaos the system is hurled
Again shall the Builder reshape a new world.

Your path may be clouded, uncertain your goal:
Move on – for your orbit is fixed to your soul.
And though it may lead into darkness of night
The torch of the Builder shall give it new light.

You were. You will be! Know this while you are:
Your spirit has travelled both long and afar.
It came from the Source, to the Source it returns –
The Spark which was lighted eternally burns.

It slept in a jewel. It leapt in a wave.
It roamed in the forest. It rose from the grave.
It took on strange garbs for long aeons of years
And now in the soul of yourself It appears.

From body to body your spirit speeds on
It seeks a new form when the old one has gone
And the form that it finds is the fabric you wrought
On the loom of the Mind from the fibre of Thought.

As dew is drawn upwards, in rain to descend
Your thoughts drift away and in Destiny blend.
You cannot escape them, for petty or great,
Or evil or noble, they fashion your Fate.

Somewhere on some planet, sometime and somehow
Your life will reflect your thoughts of your Now.
My Law is unerring, no blood can atone –
The structure you built you will live in – Alone.

From cycle to cycle, through time and through space
Your lives with your longings will ever keep pace
And all that you ask for, and all you desire
Must come at your bidding, as flame out of fire.

(BUT) Once list’ to that Voice and all tumult is done –
Your life is the Life of the Infinite One.
In the hurrying race you are conscious of pause
With love for the purpose, and love for the Cause.

You are your own Devil, you are your own God
You fashioned the paths your footsteps have trod.
And no-one can save you from Error or Sin
Until you have hark’d to the Spirit within.

I know that I am pure spirit, deathless, birthless, changeless, and eternal. I am not body; I am not Conscious Mind; I am not ego. I am sense of Self only, consciousness, awareness, unadulterated being. The presence that animates all life is within me, is altogether the real me. I am using my body for a purpose, as an expression of an idea, and when the idea is fully expressed, through my work and my mission, I shall return again to unity with universal Self, leaving body and ego behind. I do not confuse my body and my ego with what I truly am. My body is simply an instrument for my expression, and my ego is simply memory of physical experience. Returning to infinity and unity, I shall need neither body nor ego. I am free of the domination of the ego. It is not my true self, is simply an illusion necessary to finiteness and the perception of space and time. I turn away from the ego, withdraw into the depths of my being to the immortal consciousness that lies within. Here in this magic centre my word is law. I need only speak it with faith and conviction, and it will manifest in my life. I am calm and serene, sure and unfaltering, for my roots are in eternity. All the things of life shall change and pass away, but I shall never pass away, for wherever life is I shall be, one with Universal Subconscious Mind. I need not strive or strain to attain immortality, nor fear punishment, nor aspire for reward. The Kingdom of Heaven awaits all, the wise, the foolish, the sinner, and the saint, for we are all one in reality, clothed in different forms in this moment of incarnation. I do not fear death, for by it I attain the consciousness of higher Self. Neither do I invite death, for it must wait until my work is done. I forsake the ego, perceive self in Self, see the majesty, the grandeur, the immortality of the power that dwells within.
